Margo is a truly special case. She was rescued from a trashed apartment, having been left behind, however, soon it was clear she had issues eating and was very uncomfortable. It turned out that Margo has a very rare disease and desperately needed surgery to remove many of her teeth that were causing her extreme pain.
Thanks to the Sparrow Fund and the dedicated work of Stray Cat Rescue Associates of MN she received the surgery. The disease Margo has — Feline Patellar Fracture/Deciduous Teeth Syndrome — is very rare. Margo is only the 49th cat in the U.S. afflicted with it.
Margo is currently in a hospice foster home and continues to require other care and treatment to keep her living a pain-free and joyful life.
